A historic month in which
Josei Toda's life long goal
of 750000 households was achieved.
Mr Toda announced three guidelines in faith:
Faith for a harmonious family
Faith for each person to be happy
Faith for surmounting obstacles
December 2003, 46 years later
Toda's foremost disciple, our living mentor,
Daisaku Ikeda offered
two new guidelines in faith:
Faith for health and long life
Faith for absolute Victory.
We as disciples, engrave in our hearts
These five eternal guidelines of Soka.

Standing up earnestly in faith
Creating happy families
Like a lighthouse on a dark night
Enabling ships to safely sail
the seas of life.
Faith for a harmonious family
Faith for each person to be happy
Faith for surmounting obstacles

Faith for absolute victory.
Struggling valiantly
In the midst of society
Advancing kosen-rufu
for the happiness of human beings
With the heart of a lion king.
Aware that winter turns to spring
It's the heart that counts.
Faith for a harmonious family

Faith for surmounting obstacles
Faith for health and long life
Faith for absolute victory.
With faith, we strengthen our hearts
to the ultimate degree
Defeating darkness, ignorance,
Injustice, inhumanity.
Happiness of human beings is our personal destiny
Fighting evil that destroys
The goodness in humanity
Faith for a harmonious family
Faith for each person to be happy
Faith for surmounting obstacles
Faith for health and long life
Faith for absolute victory.
Knowing life is the most precious
of all treasures.
Enjoying good health and long lives
Is the mark of solid faith
Making this century a century of good health.
Living long lives in tune
with our environment
